i now have a few eggs so upwards and onwards we go

Alot of fighting going on just now over nest boxes

10 little Gentse and more on the way. Hoping for some excellent animals but expecting the worse

thats good my friend , remember and post some pictures of your loft and birds on the forum ...would be nice to see them ??

1st ghent egg hatched today from a pair of my self whites , the cock is the biggest self white i have , i paired him whith a latebred hen from last year from another pair , so im looking forward to seeing the result of this as the hen is smaller in size to the cockbird , im hoping for good size and shape...will see.

Also have around maybe 20 more eggs from my other pais ...still fighting going on though

At this time , only one young bird , most of the eggs have been clear or broken due to fighting

2 more eggs hatched from a couple of blue pouter pied

i now have 13 young ghents in the nest.

had to kill one of my young ghents this morning ..it wasnt looking well so in the bin it went ..shame , just hope its not the start of that ybs carryon

Well folks breeding is coming to a close at the end of this month , It's not been the best breeding season ive had but there you go , I've got a further 10 young in the nest , but at the end of this month , birds will be split back into cocks and hens , young birds will be left to mature , and then i need to sort out what will be getting sold on and what birds im holding on too , As the old saying goes , you cant keep them all.
